1. We inspect behind the dryer and look at the dryer hose. We look for cracks or damage to the hose. We also look to see if you have a vinyl hose or a rigid hose that is crushed. If any problems exist, we replace the hose or correct the problem. At this point we clean the dryer inside and out if its needed.
2. We turn the dryer on timed dry and go inspect the dryer pipe in your attic. We have found pipes that are not connected or not even venting through the roof. If the pipe is damaged, and you have a gas furnace in your attic the lint fro the pipe can get on the furnace and hit the open flame creating a fire hazard.
3. We go outside and inspect the cap on top or your roof or the exhaust vent on the side of your house. If you never cleaned and inspected your exhaust cap or vent, then your dryer vent has not been properly been cleaned. After this, we use brushes to clean the entire pipe from the top to the back of your dryer. We let the force of air blow the lint back out. This way we can contain the lint outside instead of having it come back into your house.
